Sevilla hand McGeady La Liga lifeline

McGeady played under Emery at Spartak Moscow four years ago and The Guardian report that he wants to reunite with him at Sevilla.

The 29-year-old winger has been the subject of interest from Blackburn Rovers, Sheffield Wednesday, West Bromwich Albion, Leeds United and Celtic but either wages or the player's reluctance to drop down to the Championship has prevented a loan or permanent deal from being done up until now.

The report claims that Sevilla are prepared to take up his wages for the remainder of the season.

McGeady has been almost completely frozen out of Everton's first team this season and has yet to make a Premier League start this season.
