After reports emerged that Everton scouts would be among representatives from a number of clubs sent to watch Gent in action this week, reports have emerged that the Toffees are rivalling Arsenal for striker Laurent Depoitre.
0 Comment Het Laatste Nieuwsblad have suggested that Roberto Martinez has asked his scouts to keep a close eye on him.
Manchester United, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Tottenham have also been credited with serious interest in the 27-year-old who has scored 10 times this season in the Belgian League. The Gunners, meanwhile, will reportedly watch him again against Wolfsburg this evening in the Champions League where he has scored once this term.
In all the 6' 3" international forward has 22 goals in 57 appearances for Gent whom he joined from Ostend two years ago.
