The Independent claim that Roberto Martinez has identified the left-winger, who has impressed for the Spanish club's B team in the Premier League Cup, as a top target for the summer and could make a £2m move for him.

Known simply as Alfonso at Estadio El Madrigal, the teenager has made three senior appearances for Villarreal over the past year and is a Spain U19 international where he has scored three times in seven games.
