Speculating that both Merseyside clubs could be looking to replace their Belgian strikers in the close season, the Mirror report that the Blues and reds will both follow up their interest in the player who could cost around £22m.

Lacazette only signed a new five-year deal with the Ligue 1 club last year but he has been attracting a lot of attention since with his performances.

The 24-year-old has scored 62 goals for Lyon in the French and Champions leagues over the past three seasons and has been capped 10 times by France over the same period.
