Moshiri to target Mourinho if Martinez is dumped

The Portuguese has been out of a job since being sacked by Chelsea last November but he has strongly hinted that he will take a new post in the summer, with speculation linking him heavily with Manchester United and Paris St Germain.

The Daily Star's Sunday nonsense claims that Everton's billionaire new investor, Farhad Moshiri, has pin-pointed Mourinho as the man to take over should the Everton board feel it necessary to fire Martinez.

The same report tries to suggest that David Moyes would also be a candidate to return to Goodison Park three years after he left the club for ill-fated stints at Old Trafford and Real Sociedad.
