Everton line up 20-year-old defender

Sport in Spain claim that the Blues are readying a £10m bid for the 20-year-old and could edge out Barcelona in the process. The Catalan Giants have reportedly been keeping tabs on his progress during his season-long loan at Las Palmas and have already had a £4m offer for him rejected.

The speculation pegs Lemos as a potential replacement for John Stones but the Blues are still in need of reinforcements at centre half as the injury crisis in that position towards the end of the season proved.
