Everton linked again with Schmeichel and Cillesen

The Blues have been linked with both keepers already this summer following the departure of Tim Howard for the USA.

Of the two, Cillessen would be the more affordable, not least because of the premium on Premier League-based players. The Liverpool Echo claims that Schmeichel has a release clause of £17m and "would be open" to the prospect of doubling his £30,000-a-week wages at Goodison Park, where he would be closer to his home in Greater Manchester.

Cillessen, the Ajax goalie and Netherlands international, is untried in England but would likely only cost around £10m.
