Everton make approach for Dutch U21 fullback?

With the release of Tony Hibbert, the Blues only have one experienced fullback for the right side of defence in the form of Seamus Coleman and Ronald Koeman could look to his homeland to bolster that area of the team.

Hateboer is an Under-21 international for the Netherlands and has been eyed by other clubs in recent months.

The 22-year-old has made 68 appearances for the Dutch side but while he has yet to score for them in a competitive game, he did net in a recent pre-season friendly.
