Arnautovic extends Stoke deal ending Everton links

Everton were reported by Sky Sport Austria to be on the verge of signing the 27-year-old in. £12.5m deal but that looks to have been highly premature.

The Liverpool Echo, meanwhile, suggest that Ronald Koeman has cooled his interest in Arnautovic and is looking at other targets, with reports suggesting his wage demands were excessive.

The Austrian had a year left on his current deal at Stoke and took the offer of a new four-year deal on the table. Rumours that he was looking to move on were perhaps engineered by his representatives to secure those improved terms with Stoke.
