Gueye undergoes medical ahead of Everton switch?

Multiple reports have suggested this week that the Blues triggered the Senegal midfielder's release clause in his contract with the relegated Villans which, providing there are no rival bids from other clubs, would leave the player free to negotiate personal terms with Everton.

Now, rumours on social media that a medical is taking place today, appear to have been lent credence by a report by ESPN FC who, citing "sources", are saying the same thing.

Gueye has been a target for manager Ronald Koeman before; the Dutchman reportedly tried to sign him for Southampton last year when he came to the Premier League from Lille.
