Everton turn to Koulibaly's team-mate to bolster defence

The latest tabloid claim is that Ronald Koeman is targeting Kara Mbodji as he seeks to add options to his defence.

If you believe the media, Everton are attempting to sign the entire Senegal national team this summer and the 6' 3" Anderlecht centre half is the latest to be linked with a move to Goodison Park.

MailOnline say that the Blues will try and land Mbodji, who they suggest is an even more automatic choice at international level than Koulibaly (also an Everton target this summer) before 5th August to take advantage of a clause in contract that allows him to move to the Premier League for £6.2m prior to that date.

The 26-year-old, who can operate as a central defender or defensive midfielder, has played 32 league games for Anderlecht since signing from Genk last year. He has 24 caps and two goals for Senegal.
