Fake: Everton in talks with potential new shirt sponsors

Updated A story on the suspect Winner Sports website regarding mobile casino company Fruity King finalising a sponsorship deal with the club is almost certainly fake.

The website claimed that talks were underway regarding a £22m deal that would, depending on the time-frame, have eclipsed the club's current terms with Chang which expire at the end of this season.

It even went as far as posting a quote allegedly from a spokesman for Fruity King that said:

“We're discussing a potential partnership with several clubs," the spokesman is quoted as saying. "Everton is a world-class organisation. We're working hard behind the scenes and hope to finalise a deal in the near future. I've got a good feeling we can thrash out a new deal”

Winner Sports have made claims like this before regarding Fruity King and the SPFL sponsor and Celtic FC which also turned out to be nonsense.
