Everton tempt Lukaku with massive salary increase

Everton's attempts to keep Romelu Lukaku at the club this summer will include a bumper pay rise to £135,000 a week.

The club have already reportedly slapped an intentionally prohibitive £75m price tag on the Belgian and now The Mirror claim that he will be offered what amounts to an estimated £55,000-a-week salary increase to tempt him to remain at Goodison Park.

If true, the move would shatter Everton's hitherto rigid wage structure which would mark another change under new major shareholder, Farhad Moshiri.
