Negotiations between the Blues and the Ligue 1 side have reportedly resulted in agreement over an €11.5m move.

Recent speculation had suggested that the Blues were vying with West Ham for the 27-year-old's signature but Everton now appear to be in pole position to land him.

A report by Le Parisien in France on Thursday, backed up by a tweet from football journalist Khaled Karouri, claims that "concrete discussions" are taking place between the Blues' hierarchy and those of OL.

Now, fresh reports claim that two clubs have settled on a fee, with a 20% sell-on fee included, and that it's now up to the player to decide whether he wants the move.

Ghezzal is said to have an offer of around €200,000 a week>/del> month on the table at Lyon and is hedging over whether moving away is his best option.

Lyon will be reluctant sellers of Ghezzal but they risk losing the Algerian international for nothing next summer if they can't get him to agree a new contract.

By letting him go this month, the Parisien report speculates, the French side could afford another striker to partner with Alexandre Lacazette who could yet stay with Lyon despite interest in his services from Arsenal.
