Everton have tabled a big-money offer for Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini according to reports in Italy.

Both Premium Sport and Gazetta dello Sport are apparently claiming that the Blues's bid would be worth up to €30m for a player who is struggling to hold down a place in the Serie A club's team at the moment.

The 24-year-old made a great start to life at Stadio San Paolo scoring eight goals in as many starts but has faded since, managing 13 goals in his 42 league appearances for Napoli, a similar strike-rate to his 15 in 47 for Sampdoria.

Now, with Arkadiusz Milik and Dries Mertens leading the Azzurri's line, Gabbiadini is mostly featuring off the bench.

Nevertheless, Italian media sources (who, it should be said, have a poor track record with regard to Everton transfer stories of late) that include Sky Italia's Tancredi Palmeri suggest that Everton have made their approach and the player "is considering the move".
