The suggestions in Italy were that Napoli would be prepared to let the striker go during the next transfer window but only on a permanent basis.

According to talkSPORT, however, Valencia have joined Everton and West Ham as a possible suitor for Gabbiadini who looked set at one stage in August to complete a £23m move to Goodison Park before final negotiations collapsed.

Gabbiadini scored nine times last season for Napoli but has struggled to stay in their starting line-up this season and only has two goals 13 games in Serie A and the Champions League so far.
