A new regime may be in charge of team affairs at Goodison Park but it hasn't stopped Everton from being linked once more with Ever Banega.

The Argentine international was a target for David Moyes who went as far as applying for a work permit for him before any proposed loan deal collapsed while Roberto Martinez also reported to be interested in signing him at one point.

Now The Mirror are claiming that Everton have opened talks with his representatives about a move away from Inter Milan just months after he moved there from Sevilla.

Inter are supposedly looking at putting up for sale for £8m next month given that he has failed to convince since his arrival. The report claims that the Blues would face competition from clubs in Spain and France for Banega's signature.
