Everton linked with move for Villa's Amavi

La Provence claim that Everton are weighing up a bid for Jordan Amavi, whom Villa signed from Nice for £9m, just months after picking up one of the buys of the summer in the form of Idrissa Gueye.

Amavi missed out the Midlanders' last Premier League season before their relegation to the Championship when he suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury.

No fee is mentioned but the 22-year-old is likely to cost considerably more than what Villa paid for him.
