Canal+ in France are now reporting that the French international midfielder, who can't get a game at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho, is set to make the switch to Goodison Park next month.

A fee of as much as £20m is reported elsewhere for a player who excelled under Ronald Koeman at Southampton before making a big-money move to United last year.

The situation has been added intrigue, however, by a report in The Telegraph that West Bromwich Albion have tabled a club-record £18m bod for Schneiderlin.
