Roma emerge as competition for Deulofeu's signature

AC Milan are said to have submitted a formal offer to loan the Spaniard for the remainder of the season but, according to Gazetta Della Sport, Everton want any deal to include an option to make the move permanent rather than the closed-ended "dry loan" that the Italians prefer.

Milan are in the midsts of negotiations over a sale of the club to Chinese buyers and apparently don't want to complicate matters by committing to future transfers.

A separate report suggests, however, that AS Roma have emerged as rivals for Deulofeu who has fallen out of favour at Goodison Park under Ronald Koeman and would likely welcome first-team opportunities elsewhere.
