Barkley a target for Roma?

The claim by La Repubblica is that the Serie A contenders have used their trip to wrap up a move for West Ham's Sofiane Feghouli to "send representatives" to discuss a potential bid for the Wavertree-born midfielder.

Barkley is valued at £30m and the report suggests that Roma's former director of sport had recommended that the club make a bid for the 23-year-old as soon as possible.

Tottenham have also been credited with interest in Barkley but that is assumed to have been just media talk.
