Rumour has been circling on social media this afternoon that Darron Gibson could be set for a loan move to Sunderland, with MailOnline adding Bryan Oviedo's name in a mooted double-swoop .
0 Comment The Ireland international has made just 69 appearances for Everton in five years with the club and hasn't started a game this season under Ronald Koeman.
However, desperate David Moyes could add him to new signing Joleon Lescott, Victor Anichebe, Steven Pienaar and Jack Rodwell at thr Stadium of Light if there is any truth to the talk.
Gibson was handed a two-year contract extension by Everton last summer, reputedly honouring a commitment made by former manager Roberto Martinez before he was sacked last May.
