Everton 'agree fee' for Sigurdsson

| Tuesday, 23 May 2017  0 Comment  [Jump to last]
Everton have agreed a £25m fee with Swansea City for long-term target Gylfi Sigurdsson as Ronald Koeman and Steve Walsh attempt to get their summer rebuilding efforts underway early.

That's the claim made by The Mirror who also suggest that the Icelandic star's wage demands of £120,000 per week could prove to be a significant stumbling block to any deal.

The Blues made an attempt to sign Sigurdsson last August but the Swans had no interest in selling their marquee player. Since then, the 27-year-old has indicated his desire to play for a bigger club again – Sigurdsson signed from Tottenham Hotspur – and Swansea's brush with relegation this season probably helped push him closer to the exit door.
