Wayne Rooney looks set to leave Manchester United this summer, 13 years after he joined the the club from Everton.
The 31-year-old forward, now the record goalscorer for United and England, suggested in an interview after last night's Europa League triumph over Ajax that he had more or less made a decision over his future, hinting that he will be moving on from Old Trafford.
Should he remain in the Premier League, as many media outlets are speculating, Goodison Park is the only destination he would consider. The Croxteth-born player has stated that Everton and United are the only two teams in England he could play for.
Rooney hasn't ruled out trying his luck overseas, however.
"There's lots of offers on the table, both in England and abroad," he is quoted as saying.
