Vardy now cited as Everton target

| Sunday, 04 June 2017  0 Comment  [Jump to last]

A report in the Express makes the bold claim that Everton are weighing up a move for Leicester City's Jamie Vardy as a possible replacement for Romelu Lukaku.

The report carries little of substance, conflating the rumour with perennial speculation linking Lukaku to Man Utd or Chelsea, and claiming that some past link with Steve Walsh would be a factor in favour of the England striker moving to Goodison Park.

However, Vardy signed a new 4-year deal worth £100,000 a week after turning down a £20M move to Arsenal last summer, and there is no firm indication that he could now be tempted into leaving Leicester City.
