Rooney pricing himself out of Everton move

Reports in the tabloids today claim that the 31-year-old is unwilling to lower his wages to a degree that would enable him to remain in the Premier League if the Red Devils agree to let him buy out the rest of his contract.
Everton and Newcastle United have been credited with serious interest in the England international but neither can afford his current salary of £250,000 to £300,000 a week while Rooney himself has already indicated that he would only play for two English clubs — the two he has represented since bursting onto the scene as a teenager.
The Express report that the Blues have yet to make an official approach for Rooney who has two years left on that lucrative contract with United.
He has apparently had offers from the Far East which would double his wages, however, which could see him follow the growing number of players raking in millions in the Chinese league.
