Lavery called up to senior Northern Ireland squad

Shane Lavery has been included in his country's senior squad despite not yet having made his first-team debut at club level.

The Everton U23s striker has been called up by Michael O'Neill for his country's forthcoming friendly after impressing in the Toffees' second string and scoring in the Northern Ireland U21's 5-3 loss to Spain this week.

O'Neill said: "Shayne is a player we have high hopes for and is a future Northern Ireland forward.”
