I'm hoping this film is under the Christmas tree. Good to see Big Nev turning his attention back to the blues in recent weeks. He's done some great work on social media in recent years, championing those without a voice, such as drug addicts, sex workers, those lost and with mental health issues. If he had movie star looks and was a bit more PC he might be lined up for a knighthood, but Nev's never done this kind of thing for any reason than the right one, to help people. He doesn't care about recognition. I'm proud that he played for my club.

Steve, if you get it, your Christmas will be a better one.

I watched it today and lost count of how many times I welled up. So many happy memories enhanced by those of our heroes.

I'll always be grateful that I was a daft gobby student during those years, able to travel all over the place to watch that great side.

Ill say no more, Steve. You'll love it!

I was only 6 Paul, but I was at most of those games. Just sad I cannot sit down with the old man and watch it with him and listen to the old stories, such as when the ungrateful little ankle biter asked him on the way back from Wembley in 1986, why can't we support Liverpool! That really capped his day off!

Like Steve, I hope it's on the Chrimbo preside list too.

They for me were the halcyon days of my time, so many adventures, home and away, and preseason tours for holidays.

They were the greatest and you never thought we'd lose or if we were down we'd more times than most come back and win.

Fate and history these last 3 decades have not been good but perhaps this is a sign, a hope to take heart and spirit from that team, for the present.

Let's hope this can inspire the current squad to salvage and win a trophy this season.

Oh yes we had it all, As well as being able to play football, a concept in the '80s, that was not always popular. we could mix it up and stand up for ourselves as well.

Steve #3, before my Dad died in 1999, we had a phone chat every Sunday, 95% of which was always about Everton. Ever since, I often find myself 'chatting' to him about how poor we are. I know what he'd think and say.

It's not the same as actually speaking with him, but it's as good as it gets for now. I'm sure you could do that too.

Paul- me too. Mine died three years ago and Sunday's were always about a phone call which started with “ hows things” and was then twenty minutes on the game. I chat to myself at times as if he was there and I guess ToffeeWeb has taken on the other voice on the phone!

With the credits rolling in background as I type this, several tears rolled too as this wonderful piece of art transported me back to a happier time.

As a kid I never thought it would end, the cup finals, the good football. Ah well.

The musical score in this is transcendent and immediately made me feel like it was yesterday, Keith Mullin expertly joined the music with the tenner of the times.

Can't help but feel angry too, the political climate and all the things we and many families had to suffer.

A very fitting tribute to a great man and his team. NSNO.

Dennis Law was once asked how he thought his United team would fair against today's team, he reckoned the team he played in would win 1-0, the reporter quite surprised at the score line said only 1-0, Dennis replied well most of us are in our 60's and 70's now. He could have been talking about Howard's mid 80's team against the Everton (or to be totally honest any other) team of today.
