Updated Everton have made a bid for Wilfried Zaha with a £55m offer according to Sky Sports (£52m from other sources) but it has reportedly been rejected by Crystal Palace.

The Blues have been linked with the Crystal Palace star for the past week or so, with the prevailing assumption being that their interest was merely circumspect and that the talk was being used to spur Arsenal into following up their interest.

Zaha is believed to favour a move to the Emirates but Sky's sources claim that it is Everton who have made the first move while the Gunners are said to be close to signing Nicholas Pepe from Lille.

There had been separate reports that the Blues had offered between £50m and £52m for Zaha and been rejected, with The Mirror suggesting they wanted to pay in stages whereas Sky's reports says that the latest bid is all cash with no part-exchange component to the deal.
