Updated Henry Onyekuru is on the verge of joining Monaco in a permanent switch, with his move just being held up by the delay of a visa according to fresh reports.

The Nigerian striker has spent the last two seasons on loan at Anderlecht and Galatasaray with both the player and Everton hopeful he could qualify for a work permit in the interim. Marco Silva has given the green light for Onyekuru to be sold.

Onyekuru hasn't made nearly enough international appearances for his country, however, and it looks as though he will leave the Blues this summer, with suggestions being made that he has told friends he will sign a 5-year contract with Monaco.

GetFrenchFootballNews in France say that Everton have agreed to sell Onyekuru for €13m, which represents a small profit on the £8m they paid Eupen for his services in 2017.

There had been suggestions that Onyekuru was holding out for a move back to Turkey where he spent last season on loan with Galatasaray but it now appears as though he is set for a move to Ligue 1.

According to RMC via Robin Bairner of Goal, Monaco have an agreement in place but the move "has been delayed while the club secure a visa for him".
