Besiktas explore Bolasie loan deal

| Monday, 05 August 2019 21comments  |  Jump to last
Yannick Bolasie is expected to head out on loan again this season and Besiktas are the latest club reportedly looking to take him on board.

Bolasie has had spells with Aston Villa and Anderlecht since falling out of favour at Everton but has yet to find a suitor for the coming season despite intermittent speculation.

Sabah in Turkey report that Besiktas have made a loan offer to Everton for the 30-year-old.

Probably the best we can hope is for him to go on loan. He's under no obligation to earn less than his current contract elsewhere and has not played enough to be a sure fire investment for another club. Just, why is it always Turkey?

Bolasie needs to take this opportunity as he aint playing for us, unless its a cold cold day in January against a non league team in the FA Cup and even that maybe a stretch.

I am afraid that a loan will probably be the only solution until his contract runs out, at least it's half of the wage bill (presumably).

No-one is going to want to pay a significant fee for a 30-year-old, who has had a serious injury, is surplus to requirements, and has basically had several loan spells, none of which have developed into anything, plus the wages aspect deters most would-be interest.

Yes, Derek, we should try shipping him out to another Premier League team that could pay most of his wages.

Derek, I know a Club who has recently signed a nigh-on 30-year-old, reportedly on a high salary, who has a notorious injury record and didn't last 5 minutes in his debut!

Pat K, I take it you're not a member of the Fabian Society, or have ever visited Delph (Saddleworth, Oldham) apart from that I can't understand who you are alluding to. :-)

No, Derek, but I have been to see the Oracle at Delphi. He forecast we'll finish 8th again.

Anyone making childish puns should be thrown in the Mersey to swim with the delphins...

What does he/she know?

Like a Greek (Rhubarb) Yoghurt, they are out of date before you know it. Hope after all these incomings we can ascend the Table higher than 8th, or playthings could become projectiles from the perambulator!

He's on big money at EFC, why the hell should he take a pay cut because the club and fans want him off the books, he'll never earn like he his now ever again (that'll be his mind set!).

Even for Besiktas to pay half his wage, this would probably put Bolasie well beyond their highest paid player and when you marry that to the fact that he's shown no sparkle at any of his previous loan clubs, they'll want him cheap cheap cheap!

Rob, cheap, cheap, cheap maybe the Canaries will be interested?

Actually, Rob, he did have a pretty good half-season at Anderlecht. 6 goals, two assists in 17 appearances. Bit of sparkle there.

Man, I wish we could get rid of every stench Koeman left at our club, I can't stand hearing the names of the players we wasted so much money on and still do with wages.

Damn you, Koeman! Damn you!

The best that Everton can do. Found it strange him arriving back half way through the season last year.

Shame about the injury. He always gave his best and was proud to wear the shirt and represent the club in the community.

Offer him to Palace.

Ok I'll accept there was a brief sparkle at Anderlecht.

Therein though lies his problem, if the Turks are like us they'll regard the the Belgian top flight as something like our own League One and make the necessary adjustments to their valuation of him.

He'll need to do some sparkling in his interview and convince them that he'll shift up and down the wing for them like his arse is on fire.

Turkey is a waste ground as far as loans are concerned, they just take them and expect you to get board and basically forget about them.

Rather he went literally anywhere else.

Shame about what happened at Palace or he would have been snapped up by them.

Villa sorry not palace. (Got palace on my mind due to Zaha 🤣)
