Neres pens new deal at Ajax

| Wednesday, 07 August 2019 4comments  |  Jump to last
Reported Everton target David Neres has ended speculation he could leave Ajax this summer by signing a new four-year contract.

The Brazilian was the subject of fevered speculation earlier in the transfer window that he might end up at Goodison Park with compatriot Richarlison, particularly after the Blues winger admitted he had been trying to recruit him while on international duty at the Copa America.

The links between and Everton and Neres had gone very quiet in recent weeks and the winger has now ended talk of him leaving Ajax by putting pen to paper on a new deal.

Spent to long on the Zaha deal. Should have put a 50 million bid in for this lad weeks ago.

Paul, this new contract was all but agreed weeks ago, we probably did make an equity, but were told by all parties that he wasn’t leaving this season.
