Everton owner Farhad Moshiri reportedly met with with the club's Board of Directors following this afternoon's defeat to Norwich that left Marco Silva in serious danger of losing his job.

The Telegraph's Jason Burt reports that Moshiri attended a post-match convening of the Everton Board of Directors where it is believed the Portuguese's future was discussed while sources close to Silva believe he fears an imminent decision to terminate his position as the Blues' manager.

Silva is also believed to have joined the meeting, with Burt indicating that the manager could be given "a little more time".

Silva has overseen seven defeats in 13 games to start this season, three of which have come against the newly-promoted clubs.

The report mentions that former Goodison boss David Moyes is a serious candidate to replace Silva, perhaps initially on an interim basis, and that the Scot would welcome the opportunity to return.
