So we head into another year of optimism, heightened by in Dec, a 'sure relegation battle', lambs to the slaughter selection that was better than a normal selection, the possiblity of more lambs to the Slaughter, a Manager facing the Sack, a Everton Board lynching, a scapegoated DOF, and a January transfer window of residue funds left over from the Summer, injury recovery with the relability of a Photocopier( from personnel experience). An a mooning face Moshiri. He was made for a Santa outfit.

Sure I am optimic, they will all be training hard over Xmas and highly motivated, with new competition, with Benitez doing the morning dog walk round Finch Farm before breakfast, sorting out MANAGER plans for a 8. 00am start at Everton. Why? Because Benitez has managed to press the reset button and have got enough batteries. More games due to a backlog making thoughts of Summer holudays in March a no no. It is going be different run in till the end of the season. Ho Ho Ho.

Disappointed that yet again I didn't get a xmas card from Lyndon and Michael! (Well done with the site, yet again this year, fellas).

The victory at Anfield stands out as one of my highlights of the last year. The lows definitely outweigh the highs with the late season meltdown to miss out on Europe, Ancelloti's unexpected exit, FFP restrictions and the recent run of poor form to name a few. But that's what makes us true supporters of our great club. Lets hope for a some fullbacks, midfield strength and some attacking options in January. Take care and stay safe everyone. COYB!

Different posts, different opinions, I hope Jerome is right, because I do feel our club needs stability, but the worrying thing for me, highlighted by Christine, is that certain papers seem to be a lot more pro Benitez than others, which suggests to me that things are still not perfect behind the scenes, so I await confirmation of David Weir’s arrival, to see if our manager has received more power?

Keep posting, Danny – I love the intimate discussions with your dogs – I'm sure (not) that they'd love my two!

The thing to remember is that we're a mid-table team, so we will be terrible, average, pretty good in snatches in equal measure.

It won't change till we move to the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, when I think Moshiri will sell, hopefully to someone who knows how to run a business of this size.

That will be the main reason for any departures, rather than 'Big Bad Benitez'.

I am hoping for a much better 2022 from every perspective – getting this damn pandemic over and done with, harmony in the world?, and hopefully a cup for the Blues.

Will be getting my new knee, at long last, on 8th Jan and have to isolate for 10 days beforehand. So providing it isn't called off my last game for a few weeks will be Newcastle on 30th.

Everton isn’t a name, Everton is absolutely everything to some of us, so I just wish winding up our chairman was as easy as South America!!!

Weather wise it was a bit of a washout, literally, in SE Queensland, but everybody, in this house anyway, adapted and enjoyed themselves.

Boxing Day dawns, hot, cloudy and steamy and who knows what it and the coming year will hold.

All we can do is take it one day and game at a time...and hope for a late winner.

Good to meet up with Bill, Steve, Derek, Jim and the other guys name has gone completely out of my head who had a chat, but could not make it to the Crown, apologies, where we met at the hmmm cough cough trinity statue.

By the time we made it to the Crown, I think you were on your third glass of wine, anyway the guys have all chipped in and bought you a map ha ha.

Anyway we did eventually all get to meet up, you’re a decent bloke as are the others who have had met up and have to say the meet-ups either at the oak before games, or a quick few back in town later are always nice.

Special mention to David Pearl, who I managed to meet at our last visit to the oak.

I am looking forward to whenever there is another ToffeeWeb meet up, where I can put some more faces to names, looking forward to meeting a lot of you.

They fight, ToffeeWeb splits back into two separate sites, and four months later we all have to double post wildly as we celebrate an FA Cup win.

Unlikely? Stranger things have happened than us winning something you know!
