Lonergan? Is this the old “21 again” gag?

Both U21 keepers, Crellin and Leban, went with the senior squad to USA. Lonergan hadn't signed his contract extension by then. Plus approaching 'old age', he probably would not have appreciated the long flight.

The goals are shown in this highlights video.

Seems all nine subs came on around the hour mark, with Kyle John and Mackenzie Hunt the only two remaining from the starting line-up.

Good pass from midfield for the Kyle John goal, couldn’t see who delivered it. Last goal was a bit odd, Guisley were caught napping, really cool finish by Apter. A good workout for the boys in the heat.

Yeah, that was a classy pass from Whitaker to set up the first goal. And a cheeky chip from Apter too, he played quite a few U18 games last season for a then-schoolboy. It'll be interesting to see if he can jump to U21 this season.

Thanks David, Phill … I’ll watch out for Matthew Apter, can’t find out how old he is, only this.

“Matthew Apter currently plays in Everton U18, in the England U18 Premier League. He was born on 01 January 1970, he is 52 years old and plays in Midfielder“

Tony, Matthew Apter is 16. The minimum age they can sign a Scholarship is 16, I’m not sure of his Date of Birth.
