Garner and Patterson help Everton U21s draw at home to Tottenham
Everton U21s 1 - 1 Tottenham Hotspur U21s
Everton U21s played out a draw with Tottenham Hotspur at Haig Avenue on Friday night with James Garner and Nathan Patterson getting playing time as part of their rehabilitation after lengthy injury absences from the first team.
Stanley Mills capitalised on a goalkeeping error to put the young Blues ahead after just 2 minutes. But the visitors got stronger as the half progressed, equalizing with half-an-hour gone.
There would be no more goals, with Patterson and then Garner being withdrawn in the second half after each had got in over an hour of competitive football.
Everton U21s: Leban, Patterson (64' Apter), I Samuels-Smith [Y:51'], Welch, Campbell, Garner (72' Bates), Higgins (85' Dixon/Quintyne), Mills (86' Kouyate), Okoronkwo, Price, Hunt.
Subs not Used: Graham.
