Hill Dickinson Stadium to host pre-World Cup Scotland International
Scotland are to play a World Cup warm-up game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. This will be the first full international to be staged at the new stadium.
Scotland will face the Ivory Coast for the first time at Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium on 31 March as part of their World Cup preparations. The match, which will kick off at 19:30 BST, will take place three days after the Scots host Japan at Hampden.
Steve Clarke's side, who clinched their place at this summer's finals by dramatically topping their qualifying group, will also take on Curacao in Glasgow on 30 May.
Scotland open their World Cup group against Haiti in Boston on 14 June, with Morocco and Brazil to follow.
Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finalists, the Ivory Coast, are also taking part in this year's World Cup. Emerse Fae's team will play Ecuador, Germany and Curacao at the finals.
"We wanted to face African opposition before we play Morocco in the summer, and I'm sure Cote d'Ivoire will give us a real stern test," said Clarke. "It will also be good to play at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool. The supporters will enjoy the opportunity to visit the new stadium."

I'm amazed that the police have allowed this to go ahead.
Thousands of drunken Scots. What could go wrong?

Paul, the Scots have a far better record of fan behaviour than some not so distant fans from there...
Not a very kind statement.

It still seems a strange thing to do, Gerry.
They have their own stadiums in Scotland.

Steve Clarke wanted to play the "warm-ups" somewhere away from Scotland.
Seems he wants to get the team playing away from home as much as possible, Paul.

You will love their company and sing with them - "Yes, Sir, I can boogie", etc. Enjoy

Why? Were Queen of the South or Forfar's grounds not available that day?

Agree Gerry mate (3). We need to deal once and for all with the 'Icelandic cancer'. Longboat louts. Fjord fiends. Gangster geysers. There ought to be no place in international football for Hakarl hooligans and Plokkfiskur munching thugs.

It's true, they are Gerry mate.
God bless QOTS, the only league club in the United Kingdom to be mentioned in the Bible. God bless the Doonhamers and Terregles Street in Dumfries. We were robbed by the Orange lot in the 2008 cup final, 3-2. Bill Drummond is a Doonhamers fan, by the way. Bill Drummond said / Bill Drummond said.
