Why can't we play football like Brighton or even Bournemouth?
It's a joy to watch.

Might have something to do with the manager, Paul.
He doesn't do that sort of thing. Too risky.

Why can't we ever get one then?

Chelsea are shockingly easy to play through at the moment.
That manager is out of his depth.

I'd take that Brighton manager.
And to think, earlier in the season, Brighton fans wanted him gone.

Imagine at the start of the season, who'd believe Spurs could be heading for the Championship?
And now, Leicester City relegated to League One.

Paul H,
"A joy to watch"
Exactly, Paul, if we can't win anything, at least treat us to a good game of football.

Watching a poor Chelsea, with Delap given another chance, he's had a few, please give this guy a wide berth.
He flatters to deceive, no better than what we've got, more effort than Barry, yes, but less presence than Beto.
Please don't waste £30M on him.

On the Subject of Delap, leave him where he is, terrible footballer. I've watched him a few times... Beto is better; Barry is a different story.
Moyesie had a dream to build a football team...

West ham will be a difficult game they are fighting for there lives, but I still fancy us to beat them, I will be happy if we beat them, but would prefer west ham to stay up and spurs go down

Why that preference Mike?
Just curious. Personally, I know a few decent people who just happen to be Spurs fans and have zero interest in West Ham, so my preference would be the reverse.
It would be very awkward if we end up sending Spurs down on the final day of the season. Hope we beat both and then at least I can say our impact at this crucial time was neutral.

Got a mate who is West Ham, so I'd like them to stay up for him.
Plus I never liked Spurs... but yes, let's beat both of them.

And before you know it, Mr Nobody is no more.
Chelsea brutally sack Liam Rosenior three months into 6-year contract.
And yet they are still above us…

I don't know the ins and outs of it but I think any manager whose team are losing 8-2 on aggregate, putting on a sub on in the last few minutes and then starts going into detail about what he wants him to do on the side of the pitch, would instantly lose the dressing room.
I think this is what has happened at Chelsea because they haven't won a game since that embarrassing moment against PSG.
We definitely played Chelsea at the right time... but I suppose I thought the same about Liverpool.

I don't think we will beat West Ham, Man City or Spurs (well, maybe the latter... if they are already gone). We might have a chance against Palace and Sunderland.
The defeat on Sunday was a right kick in the balls for me! My thoughts are our season will now just peter out -- obviously hope I'm wrong!

One thing I will say about David Moyes is that it's rare for him to let a season just peter out.
It's part of what defines him and I think this is partly helped by going out of the domestic cups very early.

Half full stadium.. Little atmosphere... Hurry up and get relegated. They belong in the Championship.
Punching way above their level. Get back to where you belong. Hopefully do a Leicester City.

Rosenior was so much out of his depth. He did look good though in the
faux professor look which is all the rage now and that was probably more important for Chelsea. He came more or less from nowhere. Nice to see a dysfunctional Chelsea and Spurs. And Leicester getting relegated, for particular reasons for me, is the icing on the cake.
If Chelsea were sane, which they are not, they would put Terry in charge for the rest of the season and look for a proper not flavour-of-the-month next manager.
I would suggest Silva who won't have to buy a new house but I would also love him to come back to us with his now additional experience/wisdom. Glasner is no doubt rubbing his hands as doors open wide at two of the erm 'top 6'. He certainly won't be coming anywhere near us.

John @ 20;
That might say as much about the owners and players as it does about the managers...
That said, the Forest owner is a bona fide barmpot, the other 2 groups of owners are just dickheads.

I watched the city vs Burnley game. I can see us signing Kyle Walker if they arent prepared to pay proper money for a right back to solve the issue.

Walker was shite last night and has been for most of the season, even though I think he is skipper. He can still put a ball in but it will not happen but if it does Ian 25 quid to your favourite charity and well done.

Shite is a bit strong. City could have blown it last night. There was more than enough chances there for the Burnley centre forward.
I thought Walker didnt give Doku that much, and showed he still has some pace in the tank and will remain a Premier league player.
If city do win the league, it'll be down to Bernando Silva. What a player that little fella is.

Ian, fair, 'shite' is too strong. Spot on about Silva. I hope he gets the players - that's what counts - player of the year.
I remember perhaps 8 years ago in an interview he said he bought a flat in central Manchester because he wanted to mix and drink coffee with 'real' people.

Indeed, Dave @34...
Only, despite the Mirror headline I quoted, it was 'only' ever a 5½-year contract -- why do they always round up like that? -- and he's done 3½ months already.
But yes, completely crazy, er... Money for Nothing. (Now that song will be in my head all day!)

Solid back four, two class midfielders jn Anderson and Gibbs--White and decent forwards with Wood, Tiago and Hudson-Odoi.

Going outside the league to the Rochdale v York City title decider- 0-0 with minutes to go in time added then then Rochdale score the winner and the crowd explode and dance all over the pitch they are back in the league— the game restarts and Rochdale fans are deflated and gob smacked as York equalise because of the delay caused by the celebtations of the non promotion.
Football is a very funny game which can change by the minute!

Massive soft spot for York. Went to York Uni 1984-1987 -- and then onto Cambridge -- and I was there as we were the best team in Europe, going away, always expecting to win, and the home fans were fecking jealous of us.
So happy that I was there.

Paul (53),
I don't think you have ever left Crosby, going by some of your posts -- and it's still there when you want to come back.
I watched the last 15 minutes of that cup game so I wasn't really bothered who won. But on Saturday, Man City beating Southampton was one of the most satisfying results I've seen for a long time.
I usually go for the underdog in these games but, with Southampton defending from their penalty area throughout the game, I couldn't believe football could go as defensive as that! Even worse was the praise they got for the ultra defending they did... pathetic.

It's a shame Dave. I try to watch the extended highlights of the Saints games on the run they are on and they play proper press creative football.
That was missing on Saturday and on recent performances Chelsea are not that far ahead of Southampton. We've heard this before right: they were there for the taking.

Paul (55),
Yes, Chelsea were there for the taking before the Everton game but with the crowd's performance before and during the game they had absolutely no chance.
The fans created the atmosphere for that win and we stuffed them but, being honest, they were getting stuffed by every team and hardly scoring a goal. Maybe the temporary manager might help them to shape up better.
