We enter the 2026 World Cup last 16 tonight with co-hosts Canada and favourites France among those in action.

Canada's first-ever venture in the World Cup's knockout rounds continues against Morocco in Houston. Jesse Marsch's side saw off South Africa in the last round, but face a significant step up against the AFCON winners. Morocco squeezed past the Netherlands on penalties, with The Atlas Lions looking to repeat their run to the semi-finals in Qatar, four years ago.

Later in the evening, a formidable France side takes on Paraguay at Philadelphia Stadium. Kylian Mbappe will be out to improve on his record of six goals in four games, with the Real Madrid striker hunting down Lionel Messi in the 2026 Golden Boot race and all-time World Cup goal standings. 

If Paraguay, who upset Germany in the Round of 32, manage to keep Mbappe quiet, there's still Michael Olise, Desire Doue, and Ousmane Dembele to deal with...
