Everton U21s were narrowly defeated on Tuesday night in their pre-season friendly against Shrewsbury Town
A couple of trialists on show, later identified as:
Ollie Dewsbury, 18, the highly rated Bristol Rovers forward, has been training with Everton this week.
Jamel Beggs, 18, who has just left Tottenham since being with the club from the age of 7, started on the bench for Everton U21s squad tonight at Shrewsbury in a bid to win a contract. He only made 7 appearances last season for Spurs U18s.
Everton were good in the first half but too many changes ruined the flow of the match and they went behind to a header in the second half. Will Tamen was good but he went off on about 60 minutes.
