The truth!

Alex Ferguson is a far better manager than Moyes is and probably will ever be, right? Anyone would be stupid, or a pro-Moyes zealot to agree otherwise. Watching the Man U channel (as I'm already starved of Premier League football), of seven games they showed, I noticed in six of them Phil 'agent' Neville was either right- or left-back. The only game he was in midfield, he was soon subbed.
Now it won't take a genius why I have pointed this out! But what astounds me is that Moyes, if he signs Jagilkia, wants to play him at right-back to keep Neville in midfield????? Answers on a post-card.
And those fans saying we should have patience in the transfer market are living in a dream world. Look at our squad and tell me we don't need AT LEAST four to five average to real quality players? We got very fortunate with injuries last year, and the probability is we won't be so fortunate again this season. And all this talk about relying on the two youngsters up-front all season marks what is wrong at this club.
When Rooney was here, the expectations were huge on him, partly because the rest of the squad were so average/poor. To pin our hopes on these very good players shows how far we have fallen from grace. Tottenham, Villa, and even Newcastle have more money than us and have better managers than us, so don't expect another top-six this season.
Some fans can wait forever for success, I certainly won't!!!

You can’t write next season off already, although I do expect the yo-yo pattern of our final league position to continue (7th - 10th perhaps?). However, if it is the case that Moyes is planning to play Jagielka at right-back and retain Neville in midfield, then it sums up everything about Moyes which I dislike - a negative and illogical approach to football.
We need to boost the squad size by 5 heads, with Beattie and Van der Meyde needing to go, that means a total of 7 new faces to satisfy me. Players are needed urgently.
And yes, when Rooney was here the rest of the squad was average/poor, but now over the past few seasons Moyes has built a very good, solid squad. The squad at the time of Rooney was not down to Moyes, he had hardly been here and was in the beginning stages of building a good team. I don’t see you point here. Of course we think Vaughan could do the job next season. He showed he has the ability to partner Johnson very affectively, and even lead the line by himself against some of the top teams in the league quite effectively.
But lets just throw out all hopes for next season, you’re right. All other teams have better managers than us, Everton sucks. It’s not like we have qualified for Europe twice in the last 3 seasons, including the Champions League. Oh, wait, we have now haven’t we. But I’m really interested in your final comment, that you won’t wait for success. Does that mean that you are going to jump ship to another team, because if it does let me know how I can help you move along.
why not wait and see where jagielka plays IF we sign him before ranting about where neville is going to play, its only rumour what you have said and nothing of substance about jagielka allowing neville to play midfield.
Never mind the fact both players are known to be versatile and may cover in 3/4 positions each over the course of the season if not more, renders the debate pointless.
As for having patience for new signings who’s to say 6/7 players wont be unveiled within the space of a few days, not saying they will, but at least give things a chance before you start sounding like the transfer windows just slammed shut!
Things are very bright for Everton and we need to get behind the team whatever happens in the transfer window. Even if God-forbid we dont sign any players, we have to support the manager and the team, because Moyesy hasn’t done half badly on a shoestring budget!
There are no games, Tiny Tim is on the mend, Moyesie is probably sheltering his pale, freckly skin under a Parasol in some exotic place, but doubtless his transfer targets will be clear in his head.
So far, virtually nobody has moved other than Newcastle buying in yet another midfielder with a bad-boy reputation and an ageing journeyman (beats me why they never sign quality defenders that lot) and Titus Bramble has gone to Wigan on a free whilst Pompey have snapped up someone we?ve never heard of although his agent has probably made it worthwhile for Harry. True, Man Utd have been busy, but they have spent close on £40 million so they?re a one-off. Spurs have spent very big on a defender with only a season or so under his belt (shades of Jeffers?)and that cocky little turd from West Ham has slapped in a request because he wants a move to Arsenal. Have we really missed out on anybody we want or need yet?
If in a month?s time, we have still made no progress then we?ll all be a bit worried, but not less than 4 weeks since the season finished.
As your break seems to have coincided with Tony Marsh?s, you haven?t been in Cyprus by any chance have you?! :)
It was us that finished 4th on a tiny budget with an obviously ’inferior’ manager to those of the above clubs.
By the way, where did Villa and the Barcodes finish again??????
