The heat and the friction is rising around Goodison and for the first time in many years you can see real discontent with how the club is being run.
Moyes clearly has no say or options in the matter. Given the likely financial status of the club, he saw the sale of Steven Pienaar as good financial business. It was as long as we don't miss him, which we will. Short-term gain for long-term pain never works. We must be down to paying the minimum amount on our credit cards.
So, just where is our esteemed chairman while all this is going on? Not a peep? Of course shit is happening so Davey is on his own.
We deserve answers, we deserve solutions, we need something to cling on to. So step right up Bill Kenwright, the floor is yours, what are you going to do about it?

Alan, whilst you are entitled to your own opinion on the matter, surely the joke is on the people who maintain a defensive position where Kenwright is concerned.
There is a growing malaise at the club and he is nowhere to be seen; other people are simply stating what is true: when there are things to boast about/celebrate, he is there at the front of the queue shouting to all who will listen. Now there is a real crisis of confidence and he is ducking the tough stuff.

You are right Alan, we're all mad. We're mad for questionning Kenwright when we've sold players and let others go on loan and not brought in replacements. We're all mad for daring to be annoyed at the fact the club is on the brink of administration and the players haven't been paid this month.

The fans are born, live and die with this Club and it is not unreasonable to complain that the person entrusted with taking care of our great club gives a very good impression of completely arsing it up.

I think the no wages being paid rumour was started about a week ago. Someone connected it with how crap we were against West Ham.

But we HAVE to accept this is a tangeable cancer that has swept through our club and WE have to act...even if its to restore pride alone. Iam physically ill at the thought of our club being taken to the cleaners due to mis-management and incompetency. Kenright must feel the backlash from us fans, this has gone on too long...way too long.

Finally. I have been against BK since he and his friends tried to buy the club when Peter Johnson bought it even though by their own admission they had no money to do so. BK is like Deadly Doug at Villa: for a long time he had die hards fooled but at some point if you win nothing and take the club backwards it is time to go. Whatever anyone wants to say about Johnson at least we won an FA Cup during his reign. What has BK bought us ? Not so much as a fair play award?

But the rumour sweeping the club is that Phillip Green has called his loan back in due to M&S having a tough time in the stock market. If that's true then BK is well and truly in the brown stuff,which may force him to sell quickly and at a lower price which will entice buyers and stave off administration,also leaving him well and truly skint and off the board.
There are 3 or 4 very interested potential buyers with real money ,none of whom want to be just investors.
Kenwright must now accept that his leadership is in it's last throws,which also means by default that Moyes's tenure will come to an end as any new owner will be 90% sure to bring in a new manager.
My mate has said that the club shops have been told there will be no new names to learn to print on the shirts.

No, but he close enough to people to be privvy to these things he told me about us loaning out Yak to Leicester over a week before it happened when everybody including myself thought that Yak would be going to West Ham, so I've no reason to disbelieve him now.
Don't forget that the kopites were only 5 hours away from administration before the were sold to NESV. A sale buy the way that was forced through by rebel board members so it my well be that the lesser members such as Woods and Elstone are manouevering themselves away from BK especially if Green is calling in his loan... apparently he (Green) is attending Goodison on Saturday, and don't forget -- he's a Spurs fan.

I also agree with Col Hughes @ 17, what has happened to Robert Elstone. When Destination Kirkby was ongoing he was very high profile, informing us all what was going on giving us cheery updates about how good the project was, but recently I haven't seen hide nor hair of him. The only concern could be a creditor demanding dosh. Anyone know who that could be? - I thought most of our debt was on a mortgage.

The fella on the bet fair forum who obviously works for the club said the players were supposed to be paid on 23rd Jan but weren't. I'd had this confirmed through someone from the medical side at Everton.
There are guarantees that they will get paid and as someone points out above thety have been paid so we're not Pompey yet but it does show a very serious cash flow problem.

Alan Clarke, I hope we are not in that position, I really do. Our home games have less than 36k attending this year, if you spread that over a full season that means you would be short on matchday revenue by some 3m at least. But that doesn't account for why there is no money and all income from sales and cost cutting is being used. The question is where and why? The accounts are due out next month but they won't show the current state of affairs.

As for Kenwright keeping stum, is he any different from the chairmen of other clubs? Chelsea have recently fallen from grace but Abramovich never appeared to accept any blame. Wigan aren't exactly hitting top form but Whelan is remarkably quiet.
However, I agree that it's high time BK either puts up or gets out. Responding to an earlier post, who are the 3 or 4 investors longing to buy the club? Wishful thinking or what?

If you research the guys wealth, interests & current performance you'll see what I mean. There is plenty out there on him as his tax affairs, especially signing assets over to his wife in a tax haven, has drawn much recent comment.
I think the biggest sign of a protest on Saturday may be the size of the gate.

Sorry to sound so negative but still havn't got over missing out on Kings Dock and feel we've missed another masive oportunity to move this club forward by not even having investment to retain players that were with us and other clubs with bigger ambition feel are good enough for them. Advise to Kenwright is let us know what your doing to find a buyer before your hounded out.

As we have no meaningful means of dialogue with Kenwright, the only way I see Everton fans making their voices heard is to start doing it at Goodison.
If things don't change I see a bleak future. The last TV interview with Moyes summed it up. His body language said it all for me. He looked glum and thoroughly pissed off.

How does that make sense from the Pienaar sale? It is a short-term loss.
On the rumours of suddenly worse finances at the club, which could only be creditors calling in debts. It's not as though we can be in more debt. What have we spent?
