Sending the wrong message?

A small comment by David Moyes on the sale of Mikel Arteta has been picked up in the press today:

"It could set a precedent," he said. "I accept that but on this occasion I thought it was the right one to do."

Moyes has stressed he has no intention of allowing Everton to become a selling club while he is in charge.
