Howard helps Klinsmann to first win

Jurgen Klinsmann claimed his first win in four tries as coach of the Unites States international side, but he had Everton's Tim Howard to thank for some key saves that preserved a 1-0 win lead over Honduras in a friendly in Miami.

With ex-Everton loanee Landon Donovan injured, Clint Dempsey assumed goalscoring responsibilities with the game's only goal in the 36th minute.

Under ex-Spurs and Germany boss Klinsmann, the US had drawn with Mexico and lost to Belgium and Costa Rica.
