Mucha's position at risk

David Moyes refused to criticise goalkeeper Jan Mucha, who he'd selected ahead of Tim Howard, for his horrendous error on Wednesday night, but insisted that, along with the acquisition of 39-year-old American veteran Marcus Hahnemann, it could force a future re-think.

He said: ?If we had lost Tim Howard with an injury against Chelsea, Jan Mucha would have gone in goal.

?Now we have had a chance to have a look at him, and now we know what we have got.

?There is competition between Jan Mucha and Marcus Hahnemann to back up Tim Howard.

?We only had the two keepers after letting Iain Turner go, so that's why I needed a third one to come in. Otherwise if one of the two got injured, we were down to some young kids.?
