Fellaini a doubt for West Brom clash

Marouane Fellaini is a big doubt for the New Year's Day clash with West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns as he struggles with the abductor strain that ruled him out of the draw at Sunderland on Boxing Day.

David Moyes hasn't ruled the Belgian out but is aware that he'll need much of what depth he has in midfield to cover seeing as Jack Rodwell is also out injured. "I don't think it's too bad so who knows," Moyes said.

"With Marouane being out it affected us. With Jack Rodwell out as well, we don't really have a lot of creativity in midfield.

"We put Johnny Heitinga in midfield [against Sunderland] and I thought he did a good job. We put Sylvain Distin in at the back and we needed all the squad."
