Jagielka out for six weeks

Everton report that Phil Jagielka could be out for up to 6 weeks with medial ligament damage to his knee sustained in the defeat to Bolton, while Leon Osman will need to go under the knife to remove a floating bone from his knee.

Both will come as huge blows to David Moyes whose squad has been stripped top the bare bones by injury and illness over the past couple of weeks.

Jack Rodwell has had a number of comeback attempts thwarted by a niggling hamstring strain that refuses to heal and he will likely be rested for another week or so longer.

Marouane Fellaini has also been sidelined since before Christmas with an abductor injury, leaving the manager's central midfield options seriously limited.
