Now we need new centre-backs!

Consistent with the long-visible perception that defence is all that really matters to him, David Moyes has indicated he may switch his priorities to now looking for a new centre-back during this month's transfer window after confirming Phil Jagielka faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

?It wasn't a priority, we had other priorities, but that may change at the moment because of Jagielka's injury,? said Moyes. ?It leaves us short at centre-half, but adding one or two new players is not easy in this month. It has never been an easy time to bring players in but we will try.

?Jags has got medial ligament damage which will keep him out for up to six weeks. We are looking to try and do something. We are looking in the loan market and would like to add in one or two certain positions.?
