Moyes confirms Manolas talks

David Moyes has confirmed his interest in young Greek defender Kostas Manolas as he seeks to bolster his squad before the closure of the transfer window next week.

Despite the impressive form of Shane Duffy, the manager is still on the look out for defensive reinforcements but admitted that 20-year-old Manolas probably wouldn't be able to go straight into his injury-hit team.

?He's a young boy we have looked at for a while, and we know quite a lot about him,? Moyes was quoted by The Telegraph.

?We could do with a centre back, although ideally someone who could go straight into the team, and he couldn't at the moment. But he's got potential, his representatives have been in, and we have spoken to the club.?
