U-18s lose local scrap

A poor second half performance saw Everton U-18s beaten 3 - 1 by Liverpool U-18s today after the first half ended even when Gethin Jones had fired home an equaliser. Some heroic goalkeeping from Connor Roberts included a remarkable penalty save two minutes from time but blues captain John Lundstram had been shown a straight red for a two-footed challenge with studs showing during the latter stages of the second half.
